Polygon Wall Art

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!  I’m excited to be back to share another fun project for Craftwell.

This month we are featuring products from Avery Elle and I want to show you a fun project created using their Alphas Clear Stamp Set and Alphas Elle-ments Dies.

I recently re-did my craft room and wanted to have a little decoration for the door.  I originally thought about making the shapes out of circles but could not figure out how to make them look nice when they were all placed together so I decided to use a 6 sided Polygon!

I’ll be There For You Rain or Shine

Howdy everyone, it is finally Friday and its time again for another fun project for Craftwell.

This month we are featuring products from Avery Elle  this week they have a fun challenge for us on the Craftwell DT.  They want us to create a layout based on a card made by the very talented Avery Elle DT.  I was inspired by this card and used it as inspiration for my layout:

Center Fold Explosion

Hi everyone and welcome to Wednesday.  I love Wednesday’s mostly because I get to show you some fun projects  for Heartfelt Creations that I hope will inspire you to get creative!

For my project today, I attempted a different fold  that I came up with based on a Diamond Fold card that I did a while back.  I decided to take part of that card and make it the inside center of this card and I really like how it turned out.

Can’t forget the flowers

Products Used:

HCPC 3608 – Arianna Blooms PreCut Set
HCD 732 – Decorative Flower Pot Die
HCD 745 – Luggage and Tags Die
HCD 747 - Arianna Lace Die
HCD 748 – Arianna Blooms Die
HCDP1 244 – Arianna Blooms Paper Collection
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Pink Card Stock, Pearls and Lace from my Stash, Distressed Ink, Embossing Powder and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by cutting a piece of card stock 12″ x 7″ and score on the long edge at the 4″, 6″ and 8″ marks.  Next, scor from the top of the 4″ mark to the bottom of the 8″ mark and repeat for the other side.  This will form the inside of your card.  To make the outside panels cut 2 – 5″ x 7″ pieces of card stock and attach one to each the front and back of the card.  For the layers, reduce the sizes by 1/2″ at a time on both the top and side.  The flowers were made by stamping, distressing and die cutting the Arianna Blooms flowers and layering them with the Arianna Lace die cuts.  To make the die cuts fit the flowers the way I wanted them to, I cut the die cuts into pieces first before layering them into the flower.  These Lace die cuts are so versatile that I can see a lot of uses for them!

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Garden Luminaire

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

We are in the process of getting our back deck replaced on our home and I was looking for some decorating ideas and I saw this lovely outdoor table that I fell in love with.   I was dreaming of sitting around in the evening on my new deck and thought that I make a pretty Tabletop luminaire where I could use a battery operated flameless candle inside.  The new gorgeous Arianna Blooms release from Heartfelt Creations was the perfect collection for my project.

Here is a little closer look at the detail. I used the largest Doily die from the new Arianna Blooms Die set and after I used it to cut the shape out of the Luminaire I added clear acetate to the inside and another die cut of the same Doily in a coordinating paper. This allows the light to shine out through the window.

Instructions:

Start with 4 pieces of White Card stock 4″ x 6″ and round the tops.  To make the folds for the top, measure up 4 inches from the bottom on both sides and draw a triangle joining  the 2 marks you just made with the center of the top of the piece of card stock.   Join the 4 pieces together and finish with a 4″ square piece for the bottom.  Finally, stamp, distress and die cut your favorite flowers.  If you have not tried the new Arianna Blooms flowers yet, I suggest you give them a try.  They make lovely flowers.  Once you have fully assembled your Luminaire, insert a flame-less candle and enjoy.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Baby Blocks

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!  I’m excited to be back to share another fun project for Craftwell.

This month we are featuring products from Avery Elle and I want to show you a fun project created using their Alphas Clear Stamp Set and Alphas Elle-ments Dies.  I thought it would be fun to make some cute little Baby Blocks.  The blocks open as a gift box so you could add a few little surprises inside for the new “Mom to be” if you wanted.  Wouldn’t this make a really cute baby shower gift?

Here is a closer look at the products I used:

Avery’s Alphas Clear Stamps
Avery’s Alphas Elle-ments Die
Gold Majesty Circles
Kraft and Solid Color Card stock
Jillibean Soup Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup Paper Collection

If you would like to try your hand at this project, this is how I made it:

Start by making 4 cubes.  Mine are 2″ square and there are a ton of free tutorials and cut files out there.  Once you have your cubes made, cover each side in a piece of designer paper and finish with a die cut from the Gold Majesty Circles collection.  For the letters I used the Avery Alphas Clear Stamps and matching die and I love how this turned out.

I hope to see you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Explosion Bird House

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  I am so happy you could pop by for some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I should mention that I have been fascinated with Explosion Boxes for a while now and I wanted to give one a try, while at the same time doing something a little different.  For this explosion box, I decided to create a peaked roof and turn the box into a little bird house!

For the flowers,  I used Versamark and embossing powder on vellum instead of cardstock.

Products Used:

HCPC 3608 – Arianna Blooms PreCut Set
HCD 745 - Luggage and Tags Die
HCD 748 – Arianna Blooms Die
HCDP1 244 – Arianna Blooms Paper Collection
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Vellum, Distressed Ink, Distressed Embossing Powder, Flower Soft, Bling from my Stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by making a explosion box.  There are a lot of free tutorials out there so feel free to pick which one you would like to use.  I made the top like a pitched roof instead of a flat box top and if you would like to top the same simple measure the width of your box on the outside and make 2 triangles slightly wider then the box with an additional lip that you can use to attach the roof.  For my box, the outside measurement was 4″ so I made the triangle 5 1/8″ at the bottom and scored 1/2″ flaps to attach the roof.  I decided to use one of the dies from the new  Arianna Blooms Die set to make the roof look like the old ceramic roof tops.  For the Yellow Flower on the front of the box, I stamped (with Versamark) and embossed and die cut Vellum and then added distress inks it to get the color I wanted.  It added a nice touch to the vellum that I will definitely be doing again.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Wellies Card

Joann-Larkin-Wellies-Card

and a look at the inside of the card

Joann-Larkin-Wellies-Card-Inside

Here is a closer look at the products I used:

Avery Elle Weather It Elle – ments Die
Avery Elle Weather It Clear Stamps
5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four
Grand Labels Four
Bo Bunny Key Lime Paper Collection

EB-WHT-BN1-2T

If you would like to try your hand at this card, this is how I made it:

Start by making a 5″ x 7″ card and cover both the inside and outside with the 5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four and the Grand Labels Four dies.  I found a free SVG of a Wellie that I used for the boot, sorry I cannot remember where I found it but there are a lot of them out there if you look.  I decided to use the umbrella stamp and die from Avery Elle and I curved it for some dimension and to finish off the card, added a few sentiments and clouds from the same set.

I hope to see you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!
