Joan’s Gardens Weekly Challenge #12

Happy Friday everyone,

It has been a very long week and I am in the need for a little crafting therapy so I am creating a card for this weeks Joan’s Garden Weekly Challenge.  This week is another challenging one for me.  I have a hard time working in a small-scale since I like to add lots of layers and of course Bling.

Selma made a wonderful project for this weeks challenge.

The challenge this week is:

  •  Cover a Post A note
  • Use some kind of  Die Cut for a background
  • Purple is this week’s color
  • Use a butterfly or something from nature

It took me a few attempts but I finally got it.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  Have a wonderful evening and a great weekend,

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge Week #107 – ‘Bright & Beautiful Spring’

Hello there everyone,

It is hard to believe that March is almost over.  Where does the time go?  The only good thing is soon Summer will be upon us.

In the Spirit of Spring and hearing the birds starting to chirp outside my window, I have created a card for this weeks Shabby Tea Room Weekly Challenge.  This is the first time I have entered this challenge and I really enjoyed it.

Our host Fran has chosen the theme of ‘Bright & Beautiful Spring’  and we were asked to use the colors Lilac, Yellow, Blue, Kraft and add a butterfly.  I have a hard time with this color combination but after several attempts (and a few re-designs) I finally came up with something:

I have not used Kraft paper very much before but I think I am now a fan!  This is what I really enjoy about these challenges.  It gets you to think outside the box and go beyond the cards that you always default to.

Thank you so much for stopping by tonight.  Hope to see you again.

Have a great evening,

Timeless Tuesday challenge #162

Good evening ladies,

Tonight I am creating a card for entry into this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge #162 by Flourishes.  The theme this week is Easter.  I hope I did the theme justice.

I finally received my order from Flourishes so now I am anxious to join in on the challenges.  I have been admiring, well actually drooling, over the Flourishes stamps for some time now and have finally got some to work with 🙂

My only problem is they are all so nice that I have a hard time deciding on which ones to choose!

I am still a novice coloring but I am learning.  It takes a lot more practice than what I thought.  I was seeing all the lovely creations that everyone else was doing and I decided to give it a try.  I have a long way to go but I am trying and having a lot of fun!

Here is my card:

Thank you very much for visiting and have a great evening,
