JustRite Friday Color Challenge #071 – “Perfect Pastels” Card #2

Good evening ladies,

This is another entry for this weeks JustRite Friday Color Challenge #071 – “Perfect Pastels”.

I made this card over the weekend and thought that it was perfect for this challenge.  I love the design of this card and just started playing around with different ideas and this is what I came up with.

I just love how my flowers came out.  I made the smaller Pink ones out of some pleated ribbon I found on my travels.  I am kicking myself because I cannot remember where I purchased it and I am out :-

You can never have enough flowers, right?

Thank you for visiting my blog.  Hope you have a great day and stop back soon,

Viva la Verve! April Week 4

Good evening,

This is my last post for the monthly Viva la Verve Challenge.  For those who do not know, you have to complete all the challenges for the month to be eligible to win.

Our host this week is Shannan and she has provided us with this sketch:

My take on it is:

I had a lot of fun with this one and used some colors that I do not normally use.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.  Hope to see you again soon,

My Flower Vase and Flowers

Hello there ladies,

I was getting tired of my flowers always dying and it got me to thinking.  Why don’t I simply make my own flowers!  They never need watering and the cat does not bother them as well 🙂

I decided to make this something for Mother’s Day but it could easily be altered for any occasion.

I have a vase similar to this one and I love it.  I decided to see if I could create something similar using Sure-Cuts-A-Lot and I managed to do a decent job.

Have a look:

I am going to enter this project in the following challenges:

JustRite Friday Color Challenge #071 – “Perfect Pastels”

Joan’s Gardens Weekly Challenge #15 – Something Different

I hope you like it.

Thank you for visiting and have a great evening,

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 24 – Birthday

Good evening ladies,

I am a little late on this one but it has been a busy weekend.  Lots to do and not enough time to do it.

Tonight I wanted to enter the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 24 – Birthday Challenge.  Sandy has given everyone the theme of Birthday this week.

I really liked this little purse to bring a sweet surprise to a special friend.  I created this purse using my Sure-Cuts-A-Lot software and it is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.  I hope you like it too.

The recipe for this project is:

The flower is made out of Cheery Lynn Sweet Williams

The lace border is from Cheery Lynn Tiffany Border.  I simply used my scoring board and scored it every 2 spaces and folded it.

The leaves are Cheery Lynn Olive Branches and the handles are covered with pieces from Cheery Lynn French Flair Scalloped Nesting Dies.

I hope you found this as tasty as I did.  Have a great evening and thank you for visiting,

Viva la Verve April Week 2

Hello there everyone,

I just wanted to make quick post tonight for the Viva la Verve April Week 2 challenge.   It has been a busy weekend for me with lots of yard work to do so I did not get much time to play in my craft room 😦

Betty created a fun sketch for us to play along with:

This is my version of the sketch:

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great evening,

The Shabby Tea Room Week #109 – ‘Birthday Bash’

Good evening ladies,

Tonight I have created an entry for this weeks The Shabby Tea Room Challenge.  The theme this week is Birthday Bash.  Rebekah has asked that we create a birthday card or project inspired by this photo and include a cupcake!

This has been a fun but frustrating project.  Every time I get some cupcakes one of us ends up eating them before I get the project done 🙂

I wanted to do something different so I made a purse shaped gift box that holds a delicious surprise!  I originally planned on using 4 small cupcakes but this holds one large one easily as well.

I have to thank my trusty Sure-Cuts-A-Lot software for helping me create this project.  I would be truly lost without it.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great weekend,

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 23 – Think Spring

Happy Friday everyone,

This afternoon I wanted to create an entry for this weeks Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge.  The theme this week is “Think Spring” and since the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Spring is watering my flowers I decided to make a watering can!

Here is my watering can:

The recipe for this project is:

Cheery Lynn Sunflower

Cheery Lynn Lace Light Deco Border

Cheery Lynn Small Lace Faerie Queen (minus the tails)

Cheery Lynn Victorian Picket Fence

Cheery Lynn Canadian Kaleidoscope Doily(on the spout)

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a great weekend,
