The Fashion Witch

Happy Friday everyone, I’m delighted to be back again to share another project with you this week.

For me, nothing says Black and Orange to me like Halloween!  So in keeping with this week’s challenge I set sights on creating a fun version of a Witches Hat and Shoes.  The Hat I thought was an obvious choice but of course, what good fashionable Witch would allow herself to be seen without a new pair of shoes to match!

If you are wondering how to make the cone for the hat it is really quite simple.  You can either go to your local craft supply store and purchase a styrofoam cone and wrap it with the paper you want to use or take advantage of the many tutorials out there that demonstrate how to make a cone.

Also, to give the hat a bit more dimension, I decided to 3-D both the Silly Spider and the Spider Web and include a “spooky-looking” flower with a flower bud that had a similar feeling to a Venus Fly Trap using the Stacker Flowers 4 and 5.

Here is a look at the Witches Hat:

Here is a closeup of the Witches Shoes:

For this project I used the following dies:

E123 – Eccentric circles Embossing Plate

B152 – Miniature Rose

B133 – Lace Light Deco Border

B200 – Celtic Band

SF-5 – Stacker Flower 5

SF-4 – Stacker Flower 4

DL162 – Spider Web

A194 – Going Batty

A189 – Silly Spider

There are just so many fun things you can do with a project like this, the possibilities are endless.  I hope this will inspire you to get creative and perhaps try something new.

Don’t forget to visit the challenge this week and put in your entry where the theme is Black and Orange!
