Tomorrow’s Forecast

Welcome to the weekend Everyone,

I wanted to do a special card for a lovely friend that helped me out this week with some kind words.  Even though we live across the ocean from each other, she has been really sweet in lifting my spirits.  If you get a chance do check out her blog, she does incredible work!

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.

    • Hi Marilyn,

Thank you so much for the lovely comment, you are so sweet. The boots are actually part of the Flourishes stamp set. After I stamped them I fussy cut them out. I think now for some of their newer sets you can buy SVG cut files in the shape of the stamp so you can cut the shape and them stamp it. I have not tried them yet but plan to do it soon.

      Thanks again,
      Hugs*

    • Hi Priss,

I actually cut the Umbrella 3 times and then cut 2 of them apart and glued the pieces onto the first cut. I also wanted a little pop so I curled the umbrella and them fastened it to the card. I am always partial to making something dimensional. lol

Thanks for the comment, I always look forward to hearing from you.

      Hugs*
