Cheery Lynn and Prickley Pear – A Winning Combination!

Hi Everyone,

It’s Joann with you today and I have a fun little project to share using my Cheery Lynn dies and some of the lovely Prickley Pear stamps and coordinating dies.  Yes, it’s a folding purse!  You can find more info on it here.

As you know, this week we have been enjoying this lovely joint venture with Prickly Pear.  I hope you have been enjoying the wonderful creations made by both DT’s and we have provided you with some inspiration.  If you haven’t done so already, do pop over to the Prickly Pear Blog to see what their DT has created for you.  You will be so glad you did!

Also don’t forget to comment on  Tamara’s Sunday post for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Cheery Lynn Designs Store and also the Prickley Pear Blog for other lovely prizes.

Here are a few more pictures of my purse:

and here it is what it looks like open.  I really love that you can use a variety DP’s to decorate.

I really do love the way this little purse came together however,  I do have a suggestion for you…  If you are planning to make this, I suggest you make the top flap an 1/2 inch longer and score a 1/2 flat piece at the top so that you have somewhere to attach the handle.  I think this might make it easier to close : )

Here’s a list of the dies used for this project:

B152 – Miniature Rose
B154 – Medium Rose
B155 – Large Rose
B309 – Sweethearts Edger
DL129 – Border Carnivale
DL241 – Ambergris Doily w/ Angel Wing
Prickly Pear – D015 Blobby Flowers
Prickly Pear – Blobby Flowers Clear Stamps Set
Prickly Pear – D013 Scalloped Circle
Prickly Pear – Dragonflies Clear Stamps Set

I hope you can find some time to visit the challenge this week and put in your entry where the theme is Roses!  With your entry you will have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.  I hope you enjoyed and visit again soon.  I love to read your comments, they just make my day!
