Vintage Suitcase

Hi everyone,

When I first saw the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection the first thing that I thought of was making a vintage suitcase.

Project Instructions:

Other products: Card Stock,  Buckles, Embossing Powder, Lace, Ribbon and Bling from my stash, Distressed Ink, adhesive and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

The suitcase that I made was a simple box and cover measuring 6 1/2″ wide x 4 1/4″ deep x 2 1/2″ tall.  To make the box open like a suitcase I cut the back corners and attached the long edge to the back of the base.  After the base for the suitcase is made, cover it in your favorite DP.    I added some straps made out of 1/2″ strips of paper and took the handle off a box I bought at the dollar store and traced it out on the same paper.  I made my flowers using the Striped Sun Kissed Fleur PreCut Set by stamping, embossing and die cutting the flowers and finished them off with some Prills in the center.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!
