Star Gift Box

Star Gift Box

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

This week Heartfelt Creations has released the gorgeous new “Festive Christmas Collection” and I want to share with you a fun little gift box I made featuring some of this lovely collection.

I used the Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set for the poinsettia and the Arianna Lace Doily in behind.

Products Used:

HCPC 3415 – Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set
HCPC 3621 – Dove of Peace PreCut Set
HCD 747 – Arianna Lace Die
HCD 751 – Cut, Mat, Create Set 2A
HCDP1 246 – Festive Christmas Collection
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear Glue
Layered Poinsettia Shapeabilities
Nobel Rectangle

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Red Card Stock, Distressed Inks, Glitter Ritz, Ribbon from my stash and die cutting machine.

Start by cutting 2 stars 6″ square out of White card stock, 2 more 5 1/2″ square out of Red card stock and 2 more 5″ square out of paper from the Festive Christmas Collection and glue them together.  Next to make the box, take a strip of card stock 12″ x 4″ and score 1/2″ on each long side and every 2″ to make the folds.  Make small relief cuts on the long 1/2″ scor at every 2″ score line so you can bend the card stock around each point in the star and attach to the back of the stars.  Decorate with your favorite sentiment and some treats and do not forget the flower!  Since this is a Christmas project stamp, stamp, distress and die cut out some of the lovely Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set, assemble and finish it off in the center with a sparkly gem!

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

About Castlepark Designs

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
