Hi everyone! So happy you popped by 🙂 Welcome to Wednesday and as always I have some inspiration for Heartfelt Creations for you today!
I had so much fun with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower Paper Collection and coordinating stamps and dies that I just had to pull them out again for another project 🙂 With Thanksgiving fast approaching for all my American friends, I was thinking about a centerpiece for the table and this is what I came up with.

Instructions:
Start by creating a simple vase for your flowers, you can make it as easy or hard as you want and any shape that you desire. I made a barrel shaped vase and covered it in panels from the Classic Sunflower Paper Collection. To make the pieces for the barrel you want to have piece of paper curved in on the top and bottom with a set of glue tabs on one side and the bottom. I made my own shape by taking a 5″ x 3″ piece or card stock, marking a line 1/2″ off the bottom so now you have a 4 1/2″ x 3″ piece. Next, measure in 1/4″ from the left on the top and bottom. This will be your curve. Now you need to mark the centers of the piece. Measure down on both long sides 2 1/4″ and make a mark indicating the center from top to bottom and from the left measure in on the top and bottom 1 1/4″. Draw a line from the center of the left side to the top and bottom marks 1/4″ in for your left curve. Fussy cut the line you just drew and then fold the piece at the 1 1/4″ marks that you made. Trace the line and this will be your right side. You will have extra paper on both the bottom and right side which will be used to attach the pieces together. When you are done you should have something like this. I made 6 pieces but you can make as many as you want. Once you have your base built, fill it with some oasis foam. This is the green foam that they use for flower centerpieces and other floral displays. Now onto the fun part! Stamp, die cut and distress a bunch of the lovely sunflowers. I chose to distress them with different colored distressed inks but it’s totally up to you. Once you have your flowers shaped and assembled, attach them to a bamboo skewer and then insert them into the foam. Finally place this lovely centerpiece out for all of your friends and family to admire!
Have I mentioned lately how thankful I am to all of my lovely followers who support me each and every week? I can’t tell you how much I truly appreciate your kindness and blog friendship.
Have a wonderful day!
