Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Black Card Stock, Green Card Stock, Distressed Inks (Victorian Velvet, Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy), Memento Inks(Expresso Truffle), Sparkle Modge Podge, Wink of Stella Brush, Prima Flower Centers, Bling and String from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by making a 11 1/4″ x 6″ shadow box out of Black Cardstock.  I made my shadow box 1″ deep to give lots of dimension!  When it came time to make my numbers I was simply going to make them using my Cameo but when I was looking for a font I found these cut files and decided they were perfect.  I cut the numbers out of White Card stock and the frames out of the Once Upon a Time Paper Collection.  To keep things in the same color pallet, I also cut out the frame and liner for the main shadow box from the same collection.  Finally, lets not forget about those flowers.  Stamp, die cut and distress out your favorite flowers or flowers.  You can never have enough flowers on your project!  lol  For a little extra shimmer, especially since this is a New Years project, after you shape your flower petals and before you assemble the flower brush them with some Sparkle Modge Podge.  This will not only give your petals some extra strength but an added bonus of some shimmer!

Have a fantastic day and Happy New Year!

  4. This is just gorgeous. Santa gave me a new Silhouette Cameo and Cricut Explore for Christmas. I can’t wait to use them.

  5. How beautiful! I love this idea. It would be so cool to hang this and then have pretty chains hanging down and hang little scrapped photos of favorite moments as the year progresses. Then when the next year comes, make a new one, take the old one and the pictures and turn them into an album. (Of course, if you have a lot of walls, you could just leave them up.)
