You Brighten My World

You Brighten My World

Hi everyone!    It’s Wednesday and as always I am here with some inspiration for Heartfelt Creations for you!  My project today is a fun organizer chest that I thought would be great gift for someone special in your life and I thought the gorgeous colors in the new Peacock Paisley Paper Collection brought this fun little organizer chest to life!

Brighten your world with the sparkling colors and mesmerizing motifs of Peacock Paisley, the exquisite spring release from Heartfelt Creations.  This lush collection sparkles with jewel tones of topaz, sapphire, amber, emerald and turquoise.  The artistic flair of exotic peacocks, intricate paisleys, frilled feathers and delightful daisies will captivate your imagination and energize your creativity.  Six sumptuous sets of intricately designed, deeply etched red rubber stamps are the perfect companions to a vibrant paper collection that is overflowing with card fronts, cut apart pages, vivid artwork, pre-designed layouts and beautifully layered backgrounds.  The Delightful Daisy Die cuts 7 perfect floral layers with one pass through your cutting system.  Whether you want to preserve life’s most beautiful moments, create with mixed media techniques or design keepsake cards, you’ll be proud as a peacock to present the sophisticated elegance of Peacock Paisley.

There is lots storage room inside for special keepsakes etc. and to provide a bit of separation to the compartments, I  added some dividers.  I really love how the top compartments slide out to reveal even more storage in the bottom layer of the chest.

Here is a bit closer look at the new Delightful Daisies flowers that are a part of this fabulous new release.

Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Distressed Inks (Peacock Feathers), Derwent Watercolor Pencils (Naple Yellow & Olive Green), Frantage Micro Glitter Sunflower, Shimmer Spray Sparkle, Sparkle Modge Podge, Lace and Bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Start by cutting your 3 trays out of White cardstock using the template for the top tray and bottom tray.  Cut 2 of the top tray.  Next you will need another piece of White cardstock 11 1/8″ x 2 1/4″ scored 3″ in from each end to make the sides. Lastly, using another piece of White cardstock 5 1/8″ x 11 9/16″, score at the 4 1/8″ mark for the top.  Measure another 2 1/4″ and this will be for the back.  The bottom will be scored at another 2 5/16″ and finally the front flap is scored at the 2 1/4″ mark.  Glue the side piece to the inside to the last piece you scored and after you curve the top portion fill in the sides using more White cardstock.  Now you will want to layer the inside with a piece of paper from the lovely Peacock Paisley Paper Collection and once you have the inside layered attach the trays.  Finish the outside by layering with a piece of coordinating paper from the Peacock Paisley Paper Collection and then stamp, die cut and distress some of the Delightful Daisies Cling Stamp set and some feather accents from the Feathery Peacock Cling Stamp Set.  The flowers were stamped with Memento Grey Flannel and distressed with Peacock Feathers while the Peacock Feathers were stamped with Memento Paris Dusk and colored with Derwent Watercolor Pencils and lightly sprayed with shimmer spray sparkle mist.

Thanks for your visit!  Have a wonderful day!
