Enchanted Mum Bird Cage

Hi everyone!  Thanks so much for popping by today.  Today I want to show you a fun project using the decorative Birdcage from the SVGCUTS Playful Parlour SVG Kit.  I just love how it works with the new Enchanted Mum Collection!

Swing open the decorative wrought iron gates and escape to serene and alluring garden surroundings with the Heartfelt Creations Enchanted Mum Collection.  Take in the beauty of shimmering dragonflies as they glide through warm and gentle breezes, landing to perch on beautiful bouquets of chrysanthemums dancing in the sunlight.  Graceful flowing floral images and exquisite die cuts along with soft hues of pinks, purples, greens and yellows are sure to bring about a sense of peace and calm to your soul.  Create your very own impeccable garden themed designs with the assortment of light and airy mums taking centre stage in five gloriously illustrated stamp sets along with swirling vines and beautifully detailed dragonflies, all of which mirror the stunning images found within this enchanting paper collection.  Create authentic, true to life blossoms and embellishments with three coordinating dies, perfect to grace your scrapbook layouts and original card creations.  Whether you are celebrating special occasions or  preserving precious family memories, an enchanting time of creativity awaits you with the Enchanting Mum Collection.

Watch this video: https://youtu.be/jJBwQyyza6g to learn how to shape the Enchanted Mums.

Instructions:

Begin by cutting out the pieces for the birdhouse from White card stock using your electronic die cutting machine and the panels from a piece of designer paper from the Enchanted Mum Paper Collection.  Distress all sides of the pieces for the cage using Scattered Straw distressed ink and assemble as directed.  The lovely Enchanted Mum Flowers are stamped with Memento Expresso Truffle and distressed with Scattered Straw.  It’s a great idea to distress the flowers before die cutting.  Finally, the vines are stamped with Memento Olive Grove and distressed with Peel Paint Distress ink.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Have a wonderful day!

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
