3D Fascinator Hat

3D Fascinator Hat

Hi everyone!  When I saw this new Classic Rose collection the first thing that I thought of was those gorgeous fancy hats that you see all the ladies in England wear out to weddings, etc.  After doing some online browsing, I discovered that they are actually called ‘Fascinators’.  With that I mind I wanted to make one for you.  As a hat base I used the Spring Skimmer Hat Box from the Dreaming Tree.

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.

  5. Personally I’d love to see the vintage glam of a pretty hat make a comeback and what better way then a cross between a hat and a headband!..a fascinator! Here in the states I wish we’d go back to dressing up for Sunday church and lunch complete with a pretty hat and i know gloves are pushing it lol but I’ve made a few fascinators but more for show pieces which is sad because they are a work of art! Love that your creation is paper! Absolutely Devine and love the colors!
