A Woodsy Father’s Day Card

Other products:  White Card Stock, Spellbinders Style Nouille Decorative Elements Die, 3D Foam Dots, Distressed Markers Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo, Derwent Watercolor Pencils (Vardyke Brown, Brown Ochre, Chocolate, Olive Green, Raw Sienna, Blue Gray, Ivory Black, Flesh Pink, French Gray, Rose Madder, Crimson Lake, Middle Chrome and Red Violet), Wink of Stella Clear and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

This card measures approx 5″ x 7″ by 3/4″ thick.  To create this card, start by cutting a piece of purple card stock 10 3/4″ x 7″ and scor 5″ in from each side.  The frames were cut using my electronic cutting machine and measure 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ on the outside and 5 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ for the inside opening.  The inside was made by starting with a scene cut from the Woodsy Wonderland Paper Collection measuring 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and then placing 3D Foam dots around the edge and layering on a frame.  You can add elements to each frame and when completed you will have a 3D scene!  I used 4 layers for the frames but you can use as many as you desire.  Simply adjust the size of the fold for the cover. All of the images were stamped on white card stock using Expresso Truffle and and cut with the matching die before coloring with Derwent water color pencils and placed as shown. The Classic Rose flowers were stamped on white cardstock with Lilac Posies and cut with the matching die.  They were distressed with Berrylicious Ink before shaping the flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  The finishing touch was to brush all the images with Wink of Stella Clear for a little extra sparkle!
