Hi friends!  Welcome back for Heartfelt Creations Wednesday inspiration.  Today I wanted to feature a home decor piece that might make you think of being away somewhere tropical and enjoying the day relaxing among the palm trees.  I hope you like it 🙂

Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Brown Card Stock, Yellow Card Stock, Chipboard, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Pebbles Chalks, Distressed Inks (Ground Expresso, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Peeled Paint), Dove Blending Pen, Sparkle Modge Podge, Quickie Glue Pen, Micro Glitter Crystal, 3D Foam Dots and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by creating your sign base using several layers for strength.  I used several layers of Chipboard followed by a layer of brown card stock and finally panels cut from the Monkeying Around Paper Collection.  The sign and Relax sentiment were found on the internet in various locations and tweaked to fit my sign.

All the images, except for the flowers,  were stamped on white card stock using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and die cut with the matching dies before coloring with Pebbles Chalks and a combination of Desert Sand and Work Lipstick distress inks which were applied with a Dove Blender Pen.  The Palm Trees and Banana Leaves were distressed with Peeled Paint and Ground Expresso before brushing with Modge Podge for extra stiffness.  The flowers were stamped on white card stock using Expresso Truffle and die cut with the matching die before coloring with a Dove Blender Pen and Squeezed Lemonade ink. A bit of sparkle was added with a Quickie Glue Pen and Micro Glitter Crystal.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a wonderful day!

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
