Instructions:

Start by cutting a piece of White card stock that measures 8″ x 11 1/2″ and scor in the middle at the 5 3/4″ mark.  With the scored edge at the bottom, facing you, make a mark at 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″.  For the 1 1/2″ and 2 1/2″ marks, draw lines up 3 1/2″ and for the 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″ marks, draw lines 2″ up.  Next using your scissors or craft knife cut all four of these lines, once cut, these will be popped in reverse of the existing scor line to allow for the popups on the card.  Now take a piece of red card stock 8 1/2″ x 12″ and scor in the middle at the 6″ mark.  Glue the white piece of card stock into the red piece with the exception of the pop-out’s that are not glued.  Finish front of the card as well as the inside of the card with panels cut from the Young At Heart Paper Collection.  All the images for the inside of the card were stamped on white card stock with Watering Can ink and die cut with the matching dies before coloring with a combination of Classic Pebbles chalks and Derwent Water Color pencils.  The sentiment was stamped on white card stock with Tuxedo Black ink and die cut with the 5×7 Reflective Moment Die before distressing with Tiger Lily and Pearlescent Jade Inks.  The Sunflowers were stamped on white card stock with Tuxedo Black and die cut with the matching die before shaping with the Flower Shaping tool and distressing with Tiger Lily and Gala Glitz Black.  The Daisies were stamped on white card stock with Watering Can ink and die cut with the matching die before shaping with the Flower Shaping tool and distressing with Peacock Feather ink.  The leaf flourishes were stamped on white card stock with Olive Grove and die cut with the matching die before distressing with Bamboo Leaves ink.  The Palm Tree was stamped on white card stock using Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink before die cutting with the matching dies and distressing with Peeled Paint and Ground Expresso inks.

Inky hugs!  Hope to see you very soon.

About Castlepark Designs

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.

  5. Love it, Joann! You’ve created a great scene that reminds me of a car show at a 50’s diner! I can almost hear the oldies cranked up loud as people mill around the cars!
