Happy Valentines Day and Fun with Foil

Happy Valentines Day and Fun with Foil

Hi everyone!

I am back again this month for the Heartfelt Creations January Alumni Blog Hop!

Since Valentines Day is coming soon I wanted to make for you today a card that has that extra special element for your loved one.

I am a big fan of the Big Bang Theory and with this theme in mind I tried a new technique out for this card.  I used foil!  So in honor of Dr. Sheldon Cooper’s “Fun with Flags” I will call this post Joann’s Fun with Foil! lol

To participate in the blog hop be sure to leave a comment on all the participating blogs. One participant will be chosen to receive a $25 Gift Certificate. The more you comment the more entries you get into the random draw!

Be sure the check the Winner Announcement on Wednesday January 30th, 2019 on the Heartfelt Creation Blog and on the Facebook Page.

If you win, please send an email to Heartfelt Creations at socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us and write “Winner of the January Alumni Hop” in the subject line.

The winner of the blog hop will have 72 hours to claim their prize otherwise another name will be draw.

Hop ends on Monday, January 28th, 2019 at 11.59pm EST.

Have fun and good luck.

Here is a closer look at the detail created when using the foil.  You can foil any die, not just the dies created specifically for foiling.  What you achieve is a foiled image where the cut lines would have cut.  I just loved how this turned out.

  20. I love Valentine’s Day. It is my favorite holiday. My husband and I celebrate it for 14 days. We give each other a small handmade gift each day (cards from me, woodworking from him). We leave little love notes, stickers and candies to be found. It’s so much fun. We’ve been married 50 years.

  35. I am obsessing over your white background with the red overlay – Gorgeous! I don’t know how you did it but it is gorgeous! I see so many different techniques in this card and I am sure it was time consuming and it shows in your final product. Your delicate flowers, double tied bow, hand made flowers , accordion heart, intricate dies, colored leaves/petals/stems to the 3D effect- every detail is exquisite. Fabulous job! Thank you for sharing.
