Baby Blocks

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!  I’m excited to be back to share another fun project for Craftwell.

This month we are featuring products from Avery Elle and I want to show you a fun project created using their Alphas Clear Stamp Set and Alphas Elle-ments Dies.  I thought it would be fun to make some cute little Baby Blocks.  The blocks open as a gift box so you could add a few little surprises inside for the new “Mom to be” if you wanted.  Wouldn’t this make a really cute baby shower gift?

Here is a closer look at the products I used:

Avery’s Alphas Clear Stamps
Avery’s Alphas Elle-ments Die
Gold Majesty Circles
Kraft and Solid Color Card stock
Jillibean Soup Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup Paper Collection

If you would like to try your hand at this project, this is how I made it:

Start by making 4 cubes.  Mine are 2″ square and there are a ton of free tutorials and cut files out there.  Once you have your cubes made, cover each side in a piece of designer paper and finish with a die cut from the Gold Majesty Circles collection.  For the letters I used the Avery Alphas Clear Stamps and matching die and I love how this turned out.

I hope to see you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Baby Shower Tag

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I so enjoyed playing with the lovely Sweet Lullaby Collection that I had to share with you another little project this week!

Here is a sweet little baby shower tag you can easily whip up rather quickly to attach to your baby shower gift for the new mom to be.

Products Used:

HCPC 3318 – Daisy Patch Flowers PreCut Set
HCD 703 – Daisy Patch Die
HCD 745 – Luggage and Tags Die
HCD 746 – Sweet Lullaby Die
HCDP1 243 – Sweet Lullaby Paper Collection
Bright Ideas Prills
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear Glue

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Labels 34, Decorative Labels 34, Distressed Ink, Pearls, Lace, Ribbon and Bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by creating a tag 3 1/2″ wide x 6″ long and cover it with DP.  Cut out a Labels 34 using another piece of DP and layer on it one of the premade images in the Sweet Lullaby Paper Collection cut out with the Decorative Labels 34.  I added another premade tag from the same collection, finishing the tag off with the Sweet Lullaby Die and a few more smaller tags all from the same paper collection.  I just love all the little premade images that come with the Heartfelt paper collections.  They are perfect for that little finishing touch!  Next add some lace and ribbon to finish the tag off and of course, stamp, emboss and die cut your favorite flowers and add them as desired.   I used the flowers from the Sweet Lullaby Die along with the small Daisy Patch Flowers.  Finally attach to your gift and watch the expression of the new mom to be!

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

It’s a Shower

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I want to show you a fun little Fancy Fold called a Tent Card that I thought would provide a great base for a baby shower card.  I got the idea here and put my own twist on it.  The window was the perfect opening to show you another way to use the lovely Sweet Lullaby die.

HCD 740 – Sweet Juilet Die
HCD 746 – Sweet Lullaby Die

Grand Decorative Ovals One

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Resplendent Rectangles, Ribbon,Bling and Pearls from my stash, 3D Foam Dots, Distressed Ink, Embossing Powder and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by 2 of the largest Grand Decorative Ovals One die cuts and using the next 2 smaller sizes as a guide, cut out the center of the front piece using the 2nd smaller die.  To make the card hinge take a 3″ x 1″ piece of card stock, scored in half and attach it to the top, inside of the card.  For the base I use a 4″ x 2″ piece of card stock scored every 1/2″ and folded like an accordion.  This will both hold the card open and also allow it to stand upright.  For my flowers I used a combination of different flowers.  The ones on the left of the card are made with the Mini Vintage Floret PreCut Set with the center of the largest flower being made from the Sweet Juilet Die and the flower on the bottom being made from the Sweet Lullaby Die.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!
