Hi there fellow Craft Hoarders! I am once again super excited to be back for my second guest design spot for Gloria Stengel’s Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge. Today is all about keeping true to the theme of this lovely blog! Everything that I used for my project was from my hoarded stash of supplies 🙂 There are certain things that I hate to part with like some of my paper, ornate vintage embellishments but when I manage to create something like this Vintage Keepsake Box it actually makes it sooo much easier! I think this lovely little box is just perfect to give to my wonderful Grandmother for Christmas this year.

Hi there Core Fans!
It’s Joann and I am so excited to be here today to share a fun 3D table top decoration which I think is perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving season for all of my American friends. Being from Canada, we have already celebrated Thanksgiving but every year I remember something a friend on mine that lives in the United States told me… “We let our Turkeys get a bit larger here”. It makes me laugh every time.
As I was thinking about setting the table for Thanksgiving dinner it dawned on me that it would be nice to have some sort of treat at each table setting so the idea of a Fall themed gift box was perfect. The sunflower box was made using the Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered Collection and I just love the look of this paper. I decided not to emboss or sand this paper because I wanted a more elegant vintage feel to the box. The top is covered with an embossed layer of Tim Holtz Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection and several more layers to make up the pretty sunflower, all of the layers were however lightly sanded. The center was finished with a pretty vintage metal embellishment.
Hi everyone, Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a great day 🙂
I had a bit of time in my craft room this morning and once again found myself playing with some of the lovely Maja Designs paper (I just can’t seem to get enough of it… lol) so decided to pop on with a quick post for you.
For this project, I used the Samantha Walker Stationary Box found here to make a lovely little vintage storage note box which I thought was perfect to hold all of those special notes you want to keep!
I am entering this project in the following challenges:
I hope to see you again soon. I love to read your comments, thank you so much!
