The Circle of Love

Hi Everyone,

This is totally a record for me, I have another post that I am squeaking in at the very last minute…It has been a snowy day here today so I decided to dust off some of my lovely JustRite supplies and create a last-minute entry for this weeks JustRite Friday Challenge #113 – In The Background.

For this challenge, they wanted us to use a background stamp or any JustRite stamps to create your own custom designer paper.  I used the Elegant Fronds Background stamp which I stamped and heat embossed.  I created a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper with this technique so I had a bit extra to use for both the rosette as well as my flowers.  I hope you like it!

JustRite Friday Challenge #104 – Clean and Simple Sketch

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  We enjoyed a bit of an extended weekend with today being a holiday.

I have a quick post for you for my entry in the JustRite Friday Challenge #104 – Clean and Simple Sketch.

This was a hard one for me.  We were asked to follow this CAS sketch and CAS is something that I do not do well.  Here is the look at the sketch:

and here is my take:JR104-Front

For the pendant on the sketch I stamped and then cut out a JustRite Border and for something a little different, I thought I would score it so it would fan.  Finally, I thought that it needed another layer so I added some pleated trim under the stamped border.

The inside needed a sentiment and after I decided on one I thought it would be fun to cut a window in the front of the card and bonus ……. 1 sentiment and 2 uses!

Thanks so much for your visit.  I hope to see you again very soon!

JustRite Friday Challenge #098 – Make It Manly

Hi Everyone,

I just have a quick post today to enter a project into this weeks JustRite Friday Challenge #098 – “Make It Manly”.   The these this week is to create a masculine themed project.

Masculine themed projects are really not easy ones for me and not something I do very often but I got some inspiration when I drove by a camp site and saw a Father and his two sons setup in their custom trailer and then I remembered about the cut file I saw here at SVGCuts.com.

JustRite Friday Challenge #094 – Sketch

Hi Everyone,

I just have a quick post today to enter a card into this weeks JustRite Friday Challenge #094 – Sketch.   In between all of the normal Sunday chores, I thought I would sneak a bit of time to play with this lovely sketch challenge that Sheri has provided us.

JR94 Sketch

I really enjoy playing along with sketch challenges and this one gave me an opportunity to use a background stamp I recently purchased the Antique Damask Background stamp.  I wanted my card to have that Vintage look and feel so I embossed it with `aged ivory`embossing powder.   I just love the effect that this gave the stamped background.  Here is a look:

JustRite Friday Challenge #093 – Suddenly Spring

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend.  I am just playing in my craft room today, still full from Easter dinner and made a card to enter into this weeks JustRite Friday Challenge #093 – Suddenly Spring.

For this challenge we were asked to create a Spring inspired card and tell what Spring means to us!

Well for me, Spring is being able to get back into my garden, plant some new flowers and water them with Love and watch them grow.

JR93-Closed

I made the watering can open to reveal a sentiment on the inside.

JustRite Friday Challenge #092 – Make It Pop

Hi again everyone, it’s hard to believe but I have another card to share with you today, two postings in one day, that’s a record for me.  This time, I have a birthday card that I made for Sheri at JustRite Inspiration.  Happy Birthday to you Sheri!

For the challenge, Sheri has asked us to use dimensional foam adhesives and make it POP which was an easy one for me as I use a lot of foam squares in all of my crafting projects.

To check out the challenge here is a link  JustRite Friday Challenge #092 – Make It Pop.

JR92-Full-Card

Here is a bit of a closer look.  It’s hard to tell from the photo but the sentiment and frame as well as the flowers are all popped out using 3D foam adhesive.  I wish you could see it but the card really does POP!
