This was my first time ever working with Dreamweaver stencils and embossing paste, it was a fun technique to try.  I used a metallic gold embossing paste and while the embossing paste was still wet, I added lots of sparkle :)  The Stampendous “Tis the Season” stamp set had the perfect sentiments to add to this quick and easy card.

3D Pumpkins With Witches Hat

3D Pumpkins With Witches Hat

Hi there Core Fans!

It’s Joann and I am so excited to be here today to share a fun 3D table top decoration which I think is perfect for the upcoming Halloween season! The panels on the top and bottom pumpkins were cut using the fantastic Core Cardstock and are both embossed and sanded using the “must-have” Sand It Block.  For something different, I debossed the middle pumpkin.  I just love how this gives the entire project a total Vintage feel!

Cornucopia (Horn of Plenty)

Cornucopia (Horn of Plenty)

Hi everyone!  Thanks for popping by today :)   Welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I am too excited!!  This week I want to share with you a project that I have been trying to create for several years now.  I have made several attempts over the past few years but could not execute it and give it the justice it deserves.  Today’s project is a Cornucopia.  I actually found a cut file that I thought was brilliant and you can find it  here.  When I saw this cut file I knew I had the perfect Heartfelt Creations Paper Collection to accompany it.   I must admit, I just fell in love with it and had to do it to share with you.   I honestly couldn’t be happier with it but would love to know what  you think?

Project Instructions:

Other products:  Green Card Stock, Brown Card Stock, Glass Pearl Beads, Raffia, Distressed Inks, Modge Podge Sparkle and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by making the Cornucopia according to the directions here.  Cut a few of the big flourishes from the Cut Mat Create 2A Die and place on the Cornucopia where desired and finish with a butterfly fussy cut from the paper collection and a tag cut using the Luggage and Tags Die.  Now for the fun!  Take out the wonderful Classic Sunflower PreCut stamp set and stamp some flowers.  I like to heat emboss my flowers but that is up to you.  After they are stamped, die cut and distress the flowers.  Once the flowers are shaped, layer the flowers using as many layers as you like.  Remember there is no wrong way to make a flower!  This time I finished the center off with some fun Glass Pearl Beads but you can use anything that you desire.  Finally place the Cornucopia in a focal point and watch everyone enjoy it!

Have I mentioned lately how thankful I am to all of my lovely followers who support me each and every week?  I can’t tell you how much I truly appreciate your kindness and blog friendship.

Have a wonderful day!

and here is a closer look at the beautiful sunflowers.  I’ve been making quite a few lately and each one is always different. It’s fun to experiment and create such unique flowers each and every time don’t you think?  I guess that is why they say, no flower is exactly alike, all unique in one form or another…

Instructions:

Start by cutting 2 circles 7 3/16″ with a 4″ circle centered on the inside out of Off-White Card Stock.  Next cut another circle 7 ” with a 4″ circle centered on the inside out of Orange Card Stock and finally cut the largest Grand Decorative Circles One out of a piece of paper from the Classic Sunflower Collection and attach the front pieces together as shown.  Scor the back piece at the 1″ mark and attach only the 1″ scored portion to the top of the card.  To make the card stand up, cut a 4″ x 2″ piece of card stock and score it every 1/2″ on the long side.  Fold this piece of card stock into a “M” shape and glue to the bottom of the front and back.  Paint your Flourish Circle Frame and then spray with Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray followed up by a bit of Distressed Glitter.  Once dry, attach to the front of the card and start to decorate.  I one again stamped, distressed and die cut out some of the lovely Classic Sunflowers, assemble and finish it off in the center with some Bright Ideas Prills to give this card a lovely fall feel!

A very special thanks to all of my lovely followers who support me each and every week.  I truly appreciate your kindness and blog friendship.
