Adventure of a Lifetime

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

Today I have another Fancy Fold to share with you today.  It is another twist on an Accordion Card.  I hope you like it.  This card folds flat which is kind of cool.  That is except for the 3D balloon and flower!

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock,  Embossing Powder, Distressed Ink, Memento Ink, Glitter, adhesive and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by following the template found here and cut it out in the center of a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper.  As you can see the template is simply a series of U shapes, each 1/2″ smaller then the other.  After you cut out your template center the largest Grand Labels 4 over the template to form the base of your card.  Next cut a second cut of the Grand Labels 4 and scor it at the 1/2″ mark across the top.  This will be fastened to the back of the first die cut to allow the card to open.   Inside the openings on the front of the card I used 3 of the pre-made images that come with the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection centered in the openings finished off with a 3D balloon stamped from the Balloon and Bicycle PreCut Set.  Last but not least, stamp, emboss and die cut the flowers using the Open Vintage Floret PreCut Set and the Posy Patch Flowers PreCut Set for the center of the flower.  Finish by adding a little glitter and a few more accessories from the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Homemade Goodness

Happy Easter Sunday and what a blessed day it is!

Today we went to my Mother In-Laws to have Easter dinner with the family.  It was great to see all of our nieces and nephews and spend some time with them : )  I spent a bit of time in my kitchen baking over the past few days and made a some treats to bring along.  Well, I started looking around for something nice to put some cookies in and couldn’t find anything suitable so I decided to make one. I thought my Mother-in-Law might like the box to reuse for something later as well!

I used the Gable Box from the Classic Gift Boxes SVG Kit.  It was the perfect box for what I wanted.  I did decide to change the box up a bit by adding a window.   I also used one of my new stamps from JustRite.  These lovely stamps were on my wish list for a while as I knew I could make lots of use of them as I just love to bake and give treats to family and friends.

Hi everyone,  I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend : )

Just a super quick post tonight to show you a fun little project I made for a dear friend mine.  She is going through a bit of a hard time right now so I thought I would make her some cookies to try to brighten up her day.  I hope it works and puts a smile on her face.

I used the Pretty Octagon Box from the Maison de Madeline SVG Kit.

I just love their files!

Easter Basket

Hi everyone, it is finally Friday and I get to share with you another fun project for Craftwell.

Today I want to share with you another fun project featuring the Teresa Collins ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folder and since it is almost Easter I am making an Easter basket.

You can find the basket here from 3 Under 3 and More.  They also have a nice tutorial on how to assemble the basket.  I increased the size of the pieces to 150% and for all of the strips and the handle after they were cut I used my eBosser and the Teresa Collins ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folder to give the pieces the look I wanted.  The bonus of this embossing folder is I did all of my pieces in 1 single pass which is a real time saver.

Up, Up and Away!

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

Today I want to show you another fun creation I made using the new Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection.

To make the Hot Air Balloon I started by searching for a template for a hot air balloon  There were a bunch of free templates out there, mostly for fabric ones, so I took bits and pieces from a few of them and came up with my own shape.  In my searching around I also found a nice kit from SVGCUTS.COM called “High Skies SVG Kit” if you do not want to try to make a template yourself.

For the top of the balloon I wanted it to look like some sort of net holding up the basket so I used the Ornate Gateway die, cut 4 times and layered them on the top.

No project is complete without showing you the flowers!

Products Used:

HCPC 3318 – Daisy Patch Flowers PreCut Set
HCPC 3545 – Open Leaf PreCut Set
HCD 703 – Daisy Patch Die
HCD 736 – Classic Leaf Die
HCD 737 – Ornate Gateway Die
HCD 745 – Luggage and Tags Die
HCDP1 242 – Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection
Spring Bling Prills
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear
Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock,  Embossing Powder, Lace, String and Bling from my stash, Distressed Inks , adhesive and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

To make the balloon take your desired template and cut it 8 times and fasten the pieces together allowing time for the glue to dry between the pieces.  I scored the pieces to give the balloon a different look.  Once your balloon is made I created a simple Octagon basket and then hung the basket using string.  Now comes the fun.  Time to decorate!.  I added a strip using one of the pre-made sentiments  and then my flowers.  The flowers were made by stamping, embossing and die cutting and distressing the Daisy Patch Flowers and finishing them off with some Spring Bling Prills in the center.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Egg-Shaped Container

Hi and Happy Saturday everyone,  so glad you could pop by…

I have a tiny confession…  one of my new favorite challenge blogs is the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog and I find myself itching to play along and put a bit of as Easter spin on it.  The theme for this challenge is “Pick a Stamp, Any Stamp.”  They want to see a stamp (or stamps) on your project so I decided to use a “oldie but goodie” stamp set called “Easter Blessings” from JustRite.  I also pulled out my much “hoarded and coveted “Maja Designs Papers.

For my project I used the Egg-Shaped Container from the Poplar Street Tulips SVG Kit.

Craftwell Gazebo

Hi everyone,

Today I am really excited to share with you my first project for the Craftwell Design Team featuring the new Teresa Collins ‘Beautiful Words’ embossing folder & ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folder.

One of the big things we love to do in the Summer is spend time at our cottage but we rarely take the time to enjoy it.  We always have too many projects and not enough time.  So this year I want to spend more time sitting in my Gazebo.  With that in mind I decided to create my Dream Gazebo!

I used the Winter Gazebo SVG Kit from SVGCuts.com and papers by Maja Design and Pion Design.  There is a detailed video on how to assemble this kit on the SVGCuts.com website.

For the roof panels and the panels on the box base I passed them through my eBosser using the Teresa Collins embossing folders before I attached them to the project.  Another trick I like to do with the ‘Beautiful Words’ embossing folder is to ink one side of the folder before you emboss the card stock.  By doing this, you get the appearance of raised letters in the card stock.

Here is a closer look at the top showcasing the gorgeous Teresa Collins Woodgrain embossing folder.

and a closer look at the base.  It’s also a box!   How cool is that : )

and finally I added a few chairs inside which were also embossed with the Teresa Collins Woodgrain embossing folder.

Joann-Larkin-Gazebo-Chairs

In addition to using the amazing Craftwell eBosser, I used the Teresa Collins ‘Beautiful Words’ embossing folder & ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folders.  If you have not used these embossing folders, I strongly suggest that you give them a try.  Since they are 8.5″ x 11″ in size you have the capability to emboss many things in 1 single pass which makes creating  just that much easier.

The sandwich combination that is ideal when using these embossing folders is:
