Clutch Purse

Clutch Purse

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Wednesday!  I am excited to be back again today with another project featuring the lovely Cascading Fuchsia Collection.  I thought a pretty little clutch purse or wallet would be a fun project to showcase this gorgeous collection.

Project Instructions:

Other products:  Pink Card Stock, Dusty Concord, Forest Moss and Seedless Preserves Distressed Ink, Pink Stickles, VersaMark, Party Pink Embossing Powder, Magnet for closure, Pearls and Bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by cutting a piece of Pink Cardstock 10 1/2″ x 5″ and round the top.  Next cut 2 pieces of Pink Cardstock 2 1/2″ x 3″ and score on the 3″ side every 1/2″.  This will be used to allow the wallet to open.  To dress up the wallet, cut 2 pieces of coordinating paper from the Cascading Fuchsia Collection for the inside and outside 10 1/4 x 4 3/4″ in size and round the top.  Hint:  Use a template for the rounding.  A die or anything with the shape that you desire so that your rounding is consistent.  Attach one side of your scored pieces to the edges of your Pink cardstock at the end with the squared bottom.  Once the glue has dried, curve the bottom of the wallet for a nice rolled bottom and attach the other side to the Pink cardstock.  This will form the bottom of your wallet.  Now layer the inside and outside with the smaller pieces of paper you cut from the Cascading Fuchsia Collection.  If you want the wallet to easily stay closed, place a small magnet between the layers before you glue them together to hide the magnet.  Finish decorating by stamping the flowers with Memento Expresso Truffle and distressing with Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves Distressed Ink.  The leaves were distressed with Forest Moss and finally the sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Party Pink Embossing Powder.

Thanks for your visit!  Have a wonderful day!
