Oval Edge Gate Fold Card

Oval Edge Gate Fold Card

Hi everyone!  Thanks so much for popping by today.  I must admit it, I’ve been on a bit of a fancy fold card kick lately…  Sometimes once you get started you can’t stop yourself LOL!  So today, I thought I would show you an oval edge gate fold card I created.

Instructions:

For this card I had a specific shape in mind so I made the shape and cut it out using my electronic cutter.  The base for my card is 6″ tall x 8 3/4″ wide with rounded edges.  I scored 2 1/2″ in from both sides and cut another piece of designer paper slightly smaller for the inside.  The front of the card was decorated by die cutting a Grand ovals and layering it with the Decorative Oval Die and finally cutting both pieces in half and attaching them to the front of the card.  To finish the front, stamp the Fuchsia Clusters Cling Stamp Set and die cut it out using the Floral Ovals die.  Once you have the image die cut, color it using your watercolor pencils and layer it with some of those lovely Cascading Fuchsia flowers.  Finally, glue the die cut to one side only of the front of the card to allow the card to open.

Have a wonderful day!
