Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Vellum, Tim Holtz Hitch Fasteners, Spellbinders Delightful Circles, Standard Circles Large, Pebbles Classic Chalks, Crystal Glitter, Stickles, Pearls from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Using this template, cut the 4 sides out of White card stock.  For 3 of the sides I used the middle die from the Botanic Window Die to fully cut out the opening and for the 4th panel I used the same die but only cut out 3/4 of the die so I had a door to use to insert my battery operated tea light.  The easiest way to accomplish this is to use some removable tape and fasten the die where you want it to be on your card stock and then place only the part of the die that you want cut between the plates of your die cutting machine.  I wanted the entire left edge not to be die cut so I positioned the paper and die sandwich so that the left edge was not between the cutting plates.  Once you have your 4 sides cut, you will need to die cut the windows and vellum.  Layer the vellum and windows and glue them in place as shown.  For the back panel, to ensure that it stays closed, glue a small magnet on the inside and another small magnet on the front of the window.  To cover up the magnet on the outside, glue a Tim Holtz Hitch Fastener onto the top of the magnet.

The Botanic Orchid flowers were stamped on White cardstock with Tuxedo Black and cut with the matching die and colored with classic chalks and distressing with Sweet Plum inks before shaping the flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

The large hummingbird image from the Botanic Orchid Bouquet Stamp Set was stamped on White cardstock with Tuxedo Black and cut with the matching die and colored with classic chalks before dusting it with crystal glitter for a little sparkle!

Finally the Regal Hummingbird Cling Stamp Set was stamped on White cardstock with Tuxedo Black and cut with the matching die and colored with classic chalks before accenting it with some stickles.

Now that all your pieces are colored, assemble as shown and finish the top off with a carrying ring die cut using a combination of the Spellbinders Delightful Circles and Standard Circles Large dies.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Wishing you a wonderful crafty day!
