Christmas Chocolate Gift Box

Christmas Chocolate Gift Box

Hi everyone!

Thanks for popping by for a visit 🙂  Today I have a different way that you can use the new Gift Box die. Why not make it into a Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares gift box!  All you need to do is cut the gift box 2 times and place one on top of the other.  How cool is that?

Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Black Card Stock, Glitter Paper, Decoart Snow Writer, Derwent Watercolor pencils, lace ribbon and bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by die cutting the Gift box die 2 times out of White card stock.  Using a piece of ribbon for the hinge, place the 2 boxes face down with the open ends facing to the middle and the closed ends on the top and bottom.  Apply glue to the back of the boxes and using a wide piece of ribbon attach the ribbon so it spans the length of the box centered on the seam between the 2 box pieces.  When the glue dries this will give you a easy operating hinge.  To finish off the box, cut panels from the Snow Kissed Paper Collection 1/4″ smaller and center on the box panels as shown.

The outside of the box can be finished anyway you desire 🙂  Here I decided to show you two possible ways.

The first way was using the Snow Kissed Flakes and Tag Die.  The die outer piece was die cut from Black card stock and the inner layer out of glitter paper.  After adhering the 2 layers together, glue to just the bottom box to allow the box to open.  Finish with a tag from the Snow Kissed Paper Collection die cut with the Luggage and Tags die and a few of the small snowflakes stamped with white ink on blue cardstock and heat embossed with bridal embossing powder.   Here’s the challenge, try not to sample all those yummy chocolates before you give the box away LOL!

The second way is using the Frolicking Frosty Cling Stamp Set.  The Frolicking Frosty Cling Stamp Set was stamped on White cardstock and die cut using the matching die and then colored using watercolor pencils.  The snow effect on the cute little snowman was created with DecoArt snow writer and lightly dusted with crystal glitter.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Have a wonderful day!
