Project Instructions:

Other products:  White, Ivory and Orange Card Stock, Versamark, Tea Rose, Fern Green and Orange Blossom Embossing Powders, Archival Ink Pad – Orange Blossom,  Brilliance Ink – Pearlescent Thyme and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

To make this 5″ x 6″ card start by taking a piece of orange card stock that measures 5″ x 12″ and scor at the 6″ mark.  Cover the front of the card in a piece of paper from the Sweet Peony Paper Collection that measures 4 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ and layer another piece of ivory card stock with the same measurements on the inside.  I wanted the large flower image to extend off the page by having only part of the image die cut.  To do this you need to place only the portion that you want die cut between the cutting plates of your die cutting machine.  Only the portion of the die between the plates will cut leaving the remainder uncut.  The Peony flowers were stamped on white card stock using Versamark and heat embossed with Tea Rose Embossing Powder before die cutting with the matching die and distressed with Orange Blossom ink.  After the flowers were distressed they were shaped with the 3D Floral Basics Shaping Mold and the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit before accenting the centers with Stamens.  The leaves and leaf flourishes were stamped on white card stock using Versamark and heat embossed with fern green embossing powder before die cutting with the matching dies and distressed with Pearlescent Thyme.  Finally the sentiment was stamped directly on the front of the card using Versamark and heat embossed with Orange Blossom embossing powder.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a wonderful day!

I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
