Project Instructions:

Other products:  Cut File, Pink Card Stock, White Card Stock, Versamark, White Super Fine Embossing Powder, Sparkle Glimmer Mist, Crystal Clear, Glam Pink Stickles, Archival Watering Can Ink, Derwent Water Color Pencils (#38 and #39), Ice Blue Stickles, Feathers, Bling from my stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start my making your Cowgirl hat out of pretty pink card stock covering with panels from the Butterfly Dreams Paper Collection according to the directions found here.  The Butterfly Dreams Border image was stamped 4 times and colored with Derwent Watercolor pencils and two of the colored images attached as the band around the hat.  The second 2 stamped borders were colored as well with the same technique and the butterflies were cut apart and attached to the border band on the hat to give the butterflies dimension.  The Classic Rose flowers were stamped on white card stock using versamark and heat embossed with white super fine embossing powder before die cutting with the matching dies and colored with Rose Madder ink and shaped using the 3D rose shaping mold and the flower shaping tools.  For a little glam, the flowers were lightly sprayed with sparkle glimmer mist and a dusting with crystal clear.  The large butterfly was stamped on white card stock using paradise teal ink and die cut with the matching die before distressing with manganese blue and accented with glam pink stickles.  The classic rose leaves were stamped on white card stock using olive ink and die cut with the matching die before finally distressing with bamboo leaves ink.  The butterfly dreams border strips were stamped on white card stock using watering can and die cut with the matching die before coloring with water color pencils and accented with ice blue stickles.

Have a wonderful day!

About Castlepark Designs

My name is Joann and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia with my husband Miles. We have one son who is in the Royal Canadian Navy. I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
