Project Instructions:

Other products:  White Card Stock, Purple Card Stock, Velum, Versamark, Black Opal Embossing Powder, ColorBox Wisteria Chalk Ink, Peeled Paint Distressed Ink, Derwent Water Color Pencils (Red Violet Lake, Straw Yellow and May Green), Sugar Glitter Paste, Crystal Centers and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

This card measures approx 5″ x 7″.  To create this card, start by cutting a piece of purple card stock 5″ x 9″ and scor on the 5″ edge 2″ in so you have a 5″ x 7″ and a 2″ x 5″ section.  Next cut 2 additional purple panels, the first one 3″ x 5″ and the second 2 1/2″ x 5″.  Also I decided the card front needed a little something more so I also cut a piece of Velum 5″ x 7″.  The last pieces needed are a 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ piece of white cardstock for the inside and 3 panels cut from paper from the Blushing Rose Paper Collection.  The 3 panels measure 1 3/4″ x 4 3/4″, 2 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and 2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.  So now lets assemble the card!  Start by folding your largest piece of Purple card stock on the scor line and attach the velum to the inside of the flap.  When closed you will have a 5″ x 7″ card that opens from the bottom.  Next attach the designer paper panel that measures 1 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ to the front of the card.  Now you will be left with 2 purple pieces and 2 designer paper pieces.  Attach the pieces together matching up the sizes so that the designer paper is slightly smaller then the Purple card stock.  Once your glue is dry, attach the 3″ x 5″ panel to the bottom of the velum and finally attach the last panel as shown.  I centered this panel top to bottom and about 1″ in from the right side but you can attach it anywhere you see fit.  Tip: I found the card a little to flexible so I layered another piece of Purple card stock on the inside of the front cover that matches so that you have a little more strength.  Now it is time to decorate this card!  The Classic Rose flowers were stamped on White cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with Black Opal Embossing Powder and cut with the matching die.  They were distressed with ColorBox Wisteria Chalk Ink before shaping the flowers with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  To finish them off they were brushed with Sugar Glitter Paste and a few flowers were also completed by adding crystal centers.  The Blushing Rose Swirls were stamped on white cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with Black Opal Embossing Powder and cut with the matching die.  They were distressed with Peeled Paint Distressed Ink and attached as shown.  To finish this card stamp the Blushing Rose Background Cling Stamp Set twice on white cardstock with Expresso Truffle Ink.  One of these you will cut out with the matching die and the other one will be cutout with the Cut Mat Create 1A Die.  Both were lightly distressed with Teal Zeal and the stamp for the inside of the card was completed by coloring with Derwent Watercolor Pencils.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a wonderful day!
