Farmers Market Berry Basket

Farmers Market Berry Basket

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone has been enjoying some of this lovely summer weather 🙂    When I first saw this collection, it reminded me of a lovely drive in the country and stopping at a Farmers Market for some freshly picked sweet berries so I decided why not create a basket for the berries?  I decided to use that as my inspiration for this project.

Garden Luminaire

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

We are in the process of getting our back deck replaced on our home and I was looking for some decorating ideas and I saw this lovely outdoor table that I fell in love with.   I was dreaming of sitting around in the evening on my new deck and thought that I make a pretty Tabletop luminaire where I could use a battery operated flameless candle inside.  The new gorgeous Arianna Blooms release from Heartfelt Creations was the perfect collection for my project.

Here is a little closer look at the detail. I used the largest Doily die from the new Arianna Blooms Die set and after I used it to cut the shape out of the Luminaire I added clear acetate to the inside and another die cut of the same Doily in a coordinating paper. This allows the light to shine out through the window.

Instructions:

Start with 4 pieces of White Card stock 4″ x 6″ and round the tops.  To make the folds for the top, measure up 4 inches from the bottom on both sides and draw a triangle joining  the 2 marks you just made with the center of the top of the piece of card stock.   Join the 4 pieces together and finish with a 4″ square piece for the bottom.  Finally, stamp, distress and die cut your favorite flowers.  If you have not tried the new Arianna Blooms flowers yet, I suggest you give them a try.  They make lovely flowers.  Once you have fully assembled your Luminaire, insert a flame-less candle and enjoy.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

Explosion Bird House

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  I am so happy you could pop by for some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I should mention that I have been fascinated with Explosion Boxes for a while now and I wanted to give one a try, while at the same time doing something a little different.  For this explosion box, I decided to create a peaked roof and turn the box into a little bird house!

For the flowers,  I used Versamark and embossing powder on vellum instead of cardstock.

Products Used:

HCPC 3608 – Arianna Blooms PreCut Set
HCD 745 – Luggage and Tags Die
HCD 748 – Arianna Blooms Die
HCDP1 244 – Arianna Blooms Paper Collection
Art Institute Glue – Dries Clear

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Vellum, Distressed Ink, Distressed Embossing Powder, Flower Soft, Bling from my Stash and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by making a explosion box.  There are a lot of free tutorials out there so feel free to pick which one you would like to use.  I made the top like a pitched roof instead of a flat box top and if you would like to top the same simple measure the width of your box on the outside and make 2 triangles slightly wider then the box with an additional lip that you can use to attach the roof.  For my box, the outside measurement was 4″ so I made the triangle 5 1/8″ at the bottom and scored 1/2″ flaps to attach the roof.  I decided to use one of the dies from the new  Arianna Blooms Die set to make the roof look like the old ceramic roof tops.  For the Yellow Flower on the front of the box, I stamped (with Versamark) and embossed and die cut Vellum and then added distress inks it to get the color I wanted.  It added a nice touch to the vellum that I will definitely be doing again.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!

It’s a Shower

Hi everyone and welcome to some Wednesday inspiration for Heartfelt Creations!

I want to show you a fun little Fancy Fold called a Tent Card that I thought would provide a great base for a baby shower card.  I got the idea here and put my own twist on it.  The window was the perfect opening to show you another way to use the lovely Sweet Lullaby die.

Grand Decorative Ovals One

Project Instructions:

Other products: White Card Stock, Resplendent Rectangles, Ribbon,Bling and Pearls from my stash, 3D Foam Dots, Distressed Ink, Embossing Powder and die cutting machine.

Instructions:

Start by 2 of the largest Grand Decorative Ovals One die cuts and using the next 2 smaller sizes as a guide, cut out the center of the front piece using the 2nd smaller die.  To make the card hinge take a 3″ x 1″ piece of card stock, scored in half and attach it to the top, inside of the card.  For the base I use a 4″ x 2″ piece of card stock scored every 1/2″ and folded like an accordion.  This will both hold the card open and also allow it to stand upright.  For my flowers I used a combination of different flowers.  The ones on the left of the card are made with the Mini Vintage Floret PreCut Set with the center of the largest flower being made from the Sweet Juilet Die and the flower on the bottom being made from the Sweet Lullaby Die.

I hope to see  you again soon.  I love to read your comments, thank you so much!
