“Sew” Organized!

Good morning everyone and welcome to your Cheery Lynn Designs “Thursday” inspiration!

The challenge theme this week is In Stitches (real or faux) so like most everyone else I thought, “Get out my sewing machine to make my stitches”.

Well, it’s been said that I tend to think a bit “outside the box” so I thought that instead of doing the obvious, how about a sewing basket to hold all your stitching supplies!

I made my own template for the sewing basket and found a SVG file on-line that I used for the scissors.

I wanted to include a pin cushion on the top so I cut a small piece of sponge and wrapped it in the Japanese Lace Pattern Die.

Finally, I wanted to show you what it looks like open – lots of room inside to hold your sewing supplies.

Here’s a list of the dies used for this project:

B122 – Ribbon Eyelet Border w/Piercing
B307 – Sweet Williams Strip
DL134 – Dancing Doily Lace Border
DL241 – Ambergris Doily w/ Angel Wing
FRM120 – Japanese Lace Pattern
L-10 – Coved Rectangle Classic – LG Silver Stackers
SF-1 – Leaf
SF-6 – Stacker Flower 6

I hope you can find some time to visit the challenge this week and put in your entry where the theme is In Stitches (real or faux).  With your entry you will have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.  I hope you enjoyed and visit again soon.  I love to read your comments, they just make my day!

I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
