JustRite Friday Challenge #077 – “Tag! You’re It!”

Hello there fellow JustRite ladies,

Wow, what a week!  It has been so busy lately and I had my heart set on making my project for over a week but it just didn’t happen until now!   I had been formulating ideas in my mind for my project in this weeks JustRite Challenge.

I hope you have had an opportunity to check out the latest release. The new stamps are just so fantastic and the Design Team never disappoints.  Their inspiration is just so wonderful and I can hardly wait to get my hands on some of the new stamps and start creating.

The challenge this week is to create a custom tag or use a tag in your project.

I just love making wine tags but this time I decided to make a wine tag card and a wine gift bag to go along with it.  I think I will make some of these as Christmas gifts and use some of the new JustRite Christmas stamps.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog.  I hope you check out my blog candy giveaway and also pop back and visit again soon,

Blog Candy Week 2

Hello there ladies,

This is week 2 of my blog candy and as I promised I am adding more to the stash.  If you would like to review what I started with click here.

This week I am adding 2 stamp sets.  The first one is called “Light the Candles” from Stampology and the second one is from Inkadinkado and is called “The Worst Ten Minutes”.  I loved this one so much I bought one for myself as well!

What I am asking is quite simple…  All you need to do is leave a comment and be a follower of my blog.  I will be randomly picking a winner on July 31, 2012 and posting the winner on my blog!  I hope you join in on the fun!

Good luck!

I hope you have a great day and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.

The Shabby Tea Room – Week #122 – ‘Elegance & Lace’

Hi there ladies,

Well I had so much fun last week as the Guest Designer that I could not help myself from entering this weeks challenge.

Tammy is our wonderful host this week and she has chosen the theme of ‘Elegance & Lace’ along with this beautiful photo for inspiration.

Tammy has asked that we create a card or project inspired by the photo USING WHITE/CREAM, KRAFT, PINK and LACE!

When I thought about the photo I thought about how I would love to have a room like this at our cottage.  We have a quaint little cottage in the Annapolis Valley where we love to spend our weekends and any spare time we have.  I hope someday to have a room like this but for now I am happy to create my dreams through my paper crafting : )

I have seen similar ideas on creating a flat image of a dresser on a card but with my “obsession” with 3D projects I decided to try to create a 3 dimensional dresser card.  With a lot of measuring and lots of glue (not to mention a few failed attempts) I am pretty happy with the end result.  Thanks to everyone out there for all of the wonderful inspiration.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog.  I hope you check out my blog candy giveaway and also pop back and visit again soon,

Joan’s Gardens Weekly Challenge #24

Hi there ladies,

Well, well…, Joan has given us quite a challenge this week don’t you think!  She has asked that we try our hand at our version of replicating Selma’s fabulous card.  I say “try” with the utmost admiration : )  This is not an easy feat but I thought I would give it a go anyway.  The challenge this week based on this card:

  • Create a card very similar to Selma’s Card
  • Use an embossed background
  • Use a lace border
  • Use Selma’s tutorial to create flowers
  • Use Pink and White

Here is my version of Selma’s card:

To everyone who is lucky enough to spend time with Joan and Selma later this week, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Stars and Stripes

Hello there ladies,

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  This weekend I spent most of my time in the garden which needed some serious weeding!  It’s a thankless job don’t ya think, but one that needs to be done nonetheless.  We have been experiencing some fantastic weather here but this afternoon Mother Nature decided to play a trick on us… black clouds rolled in and we had a wicked thunder and lighting storm.  It was short-lived but it actually helped to cut some of the humidity we have been experiencing which I am quite thankful for.

In between the rain drops I decided to try my hand at this week’s JustRite Challenge which is: “Stars & Stripes

I really look forward to the JustRite Friday Challenges and all of the wonderful inspiration that is posted each and every week!   Well, enough of my rambling…

Here is my card, when I thought of the 4th of July, I immediately thought of fireworks, so I decided to incorporate one into my card!  I also have been anxious to use my new “Summer Words” Stamp set.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Shabby Tea Room – Week #121 ‘You’re Invited’

Hi everyone,

I cannot tell you how excited and “over the moon” I am to be the guest designer this week at The Shabby Tea Room.  I am sooo in love with this lovely blog and all of the uber talent that I see here each and every week!  The wonderful DT team never ceases to amaze me and I find myself looking forward to seeing their wonderful inspirations each week.  The challenge this week is:  ‘You’re Invited’ and we are asked to create an INVITATION based on the inspirational photo below:

So with this this great photo in mind, I decided that “You’re Invited to a Garden Tea Party”!

I started with making a tea party invitation and it quickly progressed into a full tea service.  I was having so much fun that before I knew it I had an invitation, a tea-pot shaped card, a cup and saucer and even a cake plate.  I planned on adding sweets to the cake plate but my husband got into them before I could finish the plate.  🙂

I do hope you will join in on the fun.  I can’t wait to see what you create.

If you have the time, please stop by the design team blogs.  They do such a wonderful job every week to provide us with such fantastic inspiration.
