Tealight Tabletop Lamp

Hi Everyone,

Today I want to share with you a 3D lamp I made.  It holds one of those little battery operated tea lights so the light will flicker through the doily.  I lined the inside of the lamp shade with Velum so that I could cutout the tiny doily and then re-attach it to the shade.

I was actually looking for inspiration for decorating a lamp shade and found this cut file from SVG Cuts and just fell in love with it.  I tweaked the file a bit to make it my own and I am really happy with the way it came out.

I want to thank Mary and Leo for providing us such a wonderful foundation for expressing our art.

and in keeping with this weeks theme, I had to bling it up!  I also trimmed the top and bottom of the shade with the Border Carnivale die and added a Rose to the center of each section of the shade.

Here’s a list of the dies used for this project:

B129 – Cherry Blossom
B151 – Cuties 3
B215 – Expandable Tiny Borders
B315 – Ivy Corner Flourish
C184 – Judy’s Blooms
DL129 – Border Carnivale
DL240 – Rum Punch with Double Angel Wing
DL243 – Felicity Tiny Doily

I hope you can find some time to visit the challenge this week and put in your entry where the theme is Bling it Up!  With your entry you will have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.  I hope you enjoyed and visit again soon.  I love to read your comments, they just make my day!
