3D Coconut Box

3D Coconut Box

Hi everyone!  Welcome back for Heartfelt Creations Wednesday inspiration

When I was looking and thinking of inspiration for this lovely collection a commercial came onto the TV about trips down South and I remembered the last time I was away and how I had a refreshing drink presented to me in a Coconut and I found this cut file that I decided to give it a try.

Instructions:

Start by cutting and assembling the Coconut found here according to the directions out of Kraft card stock for the Coconut and white card stock for the Umbrella with the panels cut from the Monkeying Around Paper Collection.  All the images were stamped on white card stock using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and Expresso Truffle inks before die cutting with the matching dies.  The Palm Tree and Leaves were colored with Ground Expresso and Peeled Paint inks and the flowers were colored with a Dove Blending Pen and Squeezed Lemonade inks along with a Quickie Glue Pen and Micro Glitter Crystal before shaping with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  The straw was hot glued to a foam ball, cut in half and hot glued to the inside bottom of the Coconut.  The sentiment was stamped on white card stock using Versamark and Heat embossed with Buttercup embossing powder before die cutting with the Cut Mat Create 1B Die and attaching as shown.  To finish off the project Seafoam Stickles were used for a little more sparkle!

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a wonderful day!

I have worked full time in the Finance and Insurance industry for the past 29 years. I absolutely adore all things paper & glue and have been involved with crafting in some way for most of my life. I have a great admiration for creating projects from paper that may not necessarily be made from paper. When not in my craft room, I enjoy spending time at our cottage enjoying all that nature and suburban life has to offer.
